Lakeside install the first Hydraulic Automatic Flood Barrier in Spain

Installation carried out in Torrent, Valencia

We installed a self-closing, automatic Flood Barrier 3500mm wide x 600mm high in Torrent, Valencia.

The barrier is neatly embedded flush into the ground and operates without any electrical power.

In the event of a flood, water flows into the lower part of the water defence door leaf, along the water inlet at the front end of the ground bottom frame. When water reaches the trigger value, the buoyancy pushes the front end of the water defence door leaf up, to achieve automatic water defence with the rising water. Prior to a flood event, the barrier can also be opened manually and locked into place.
